The water from the bore water is directly stored in the storage tank. This water is left for few house then the color of the water is changed to rusty brown color. Now the water flows into the filter it purifies and filters the iron particles present in the water. And finally the crystal clear pure water flowes out from the tank for the usage.

Why backwash process is needed in iron filter

Backwash is one of the important process in the working mechanism of iron removal filter. The continuous usage of iron filter leads to the deposition of filtered iron and sediment  particles on the media of the filter. So it is must to backwash the iron removal filter at least weekly once.

It consists of multi-port valve, by rotating this multiport value the water flows against the opposite direction of the filter and hence the sediment particles of the iron will be washed out. No specific time is required for this back wash process. It depends upon the color of the water which turns into clear white from rusty yellow water.

Why Rinse process is needed in iron filter

Rinse process is same that of the backwash process. The multiport valve should be changed to rinse position while doing rinse. The time duration of Rinse will depends  upon the size of the cylinder. Initially the water is clear then it will changed to brown. Continuous rinse will finally change the water in to clear white color.
