Collector Type
Most models utilize highly efficient Evacuated Tube Collectors (ETC), which absorb maximum sunlight and minimize heat loss due to their vacuum insulation, ensuring performance even in colder or partially cloudy weather.
Tank Capacity
The 220-litre capacity (or 220 LPD – Liters Per Day) is designed to provide sufficient hot water for a household of approximately 4-6 individuals.
Inner Tank Material
Inner tanks are often made from Galvanized Iron (GI) with Glass Line Coating (also known as Glass Enameled Coated) or Stainless Steel (SS 304). The glass lining is a crucial feature for resisting corrosion and chemical attacks, making the system suitable for areas with hard water conditions (up to 4000 ppm TDS).
Outer Tank Material & Insulation
The outer body is generally made of powder-coated Galvanized Steel or full stainless steel for weather resistance, especially in coastal areas. High-density PUF (Polyurethane Foam) insulation is used to retain heat, keeping water hot for over 36 hours.
System Type
Both non-pressurized (thermosyphon) and pressurized models are available. Non-pressurized systems work on gravity and require the overhead water tank to be a specific height above the solar heater, while pressurized systems work best in high-rise buildings and with booster pumps.
