Water Softener Salt Tablet removes the hardness present the water. The water is softener in a resin tank where ion exchange and removes hardness by trapping the hardness producing ions like magnesium and calcium from the water.
Water Softener Salt Tablet (sodium chloride) is working by the mechanism of ion exchange process in a resin tank .It removes the hardness ions such as magnesium and calcium from the water. The hardness ions are exchanged for sodium ions, which it comes from the softener salt. While this process is happening, the resin beads in the resin tank become saturated with hardness ions. The regeneration should be done once in a week. If they are not regenerated, it stops working.
